Family led since 1962, Consultus Care & Nursing has been providing tailored Live-in Care and nursing for nearly 60 years. Offering several principal services, including an introductory agency for 24/7 live-in carers contracted directly by clients, and fully managed, regulated, 24/7 live-in care and nursing services, Consultus’ priorities are to provide the support that makes a real difference to clients and enable them to stay in their own homes for as long as possible.
Live-in Care
Social and adult care demands in the UK are growing, meaning local government is having to look for other solutions of caring for the elderly and the vulnerable.
Live-in Care can provide a solution to this growing demand, and Consultus is one of a few 24/7 live in care providers being invited to work in partnership with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) to procure block Live-in Care to support the hospital discharge process.
As part of the system response to the COVID- 19 pandemic and seasonal pressures, Consultus’ service aim is to provide an effective, flexible, and responsive approach to discharge from the acute and surrounding hospital system for individuals who are medically stable and may require further assessment of their needs. The service will support individuals in the comfort of their own homes for an initial period of six weeks, with an expectation that the chosen provider will work with partners to ensure transfer to long-term packages of care if required.

Consultus understands the impact that well trained carers deliver and the value of professionalising the industry by elevating the standards of training.
Consultus is just one of a small number of training providers to be awarded Skills for Care: ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the UK, which covers BTEC Awards to Diplomas, and a variety of specialist and updated courses which allow carers to increase their knowledge and skills and improve their future career prospects.
