The 13th Congress of the European Hip Society is two just months away, where experts in orthopaedic surgery will discuss the latest hip diagnostics and therapies. Health Europa tells you everything you need to know about the event.
Taking place every other year, the 13th Congress of the European Hip Society provides a platform for health professionals, including orthopaedic surgeons, clinicians and scientists in Europe and elsewhere, to exchange the latest hip diagnostics, indications and therapies.
When is the 13th Congress of the European Hip Society taking place?
It is taking place on 20-22 September 2018 in The Hague, the Netherlands, and will comprise seminars and lectures covering various aspects of hip treatments and therapies.
Thursday’s and Friday’s activities begin at 8am and last until 7pm, while on Saturday the whole event sees its conclusion at 1pm.
What will be happening at the congress?
Throughout the three days there are an array of things taking place. Supported by a broad multidisciplinary faculty, the activities include:
- Instructional course lectures (ICL);
- Symposia and keynote lectures;
- Oral presentations and posters; and
- Industry workshops and technical exhibits.
The lunch workshops taking place on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 September will include congress partners Smith & Nephew, DePuy Synthes and Stryker, who will discuss the various technological innovations that will aid patients during and after hip and knee surgery.
Then, on the Friday at 8pm at the Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus, The Hague, there will be a congress dinner which will provide a great opportunity to network with peers.
